I went from struggling with my weight to finally hitting my goal and transforming my life, achieving the body of my dreams.

I started out feeling frustrated and stuck. What made it even worse was that I was formerly a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and held a nutrition certification.

I tried it all. Like many of you, my journey to a healthier lifestyle has been full of trials, errors, and a long list of diet plans.

My path has taken me through Nutrisystem, LA Weight Loss, Ideal Protein, Weight Watchers, Noom, Keto, Atkins, low-carb diets, the practice of eating 6 small meals a day, the Master Cleanse, the Cabbage Soup Diet, Lean Cuisines, a 1000 calorie or less diet, the PBJ diet, a 1200 calorie or less diet with workouts, the South Beach Diet, and even a stint as a Diet Coke only devotee.

Despite all these attempts, I struggled with temporary successes and frequent setbacks.

After starting a new business in a different industry, I found myself sitting all day and resorting to emotional eating due to stress. I often ended up consuming large amounts of food at night after a stressful day as a small business owner. Now, the person who had once lectured clients on health and fitness was avoiding running into them, hoping not to be seen after gaining 60 pounds.

But then I stumbled upon a new approach—a mix of techniques that helped me reset my habits and outlook.

During the pandemic, I gained 10-15 pounds from stress and boredom eating. However, going back to the methods I’ve outlined in my guide allowed me to shed those pounds and reaffirmed how well this balanced lifestyle really works.

If I hadn't turned things around, who knows where I'd be now. Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, at times reaching stroke levels.

I was also warned that I was extremely close to becoming pre-diabetic, and my cholesterol levels were high enough that my doctor considered prescribing statins.

This battle was no longer about fitting into skinny jeans—it was about my life, my health. It sounds cliché, but truly, when you're sick, nothing else matters—not even money.

I remember not wanting to go out to have fun and live life, avoiding taking pictures, and shying away from dating because I felt so terrible about my appearance. It all came down to quality of life. I recall being out of breath just from walking up steps and thinking, "WTF. I am too young for this." My knees would hurt terribly because they couldn't handle the weight.

And I remember thinking, "Okay, it’s not going to get better—you get older, and things don’t just miraculously change. So, Kay, what’s it going to be?"

Now, maintaining my weight and health is a routine that has surprisingly become easier over time.

Through my blog, weight loss guides, and social media, I share my experiences, insights, and the practical lessons I’ve learned from my extensive dieting history.

My goal is to inspire and guide those who, like me, are searching for a sustainable path to weight management and healthier living.

Over six years ago, I hit a crossroads that promised to change my life's direction. The choice was simple: stick with the same old path, which felt safe but got me nowhere closer to my goals, or step into the unknown and chase the body and health of my dreams.

I chose change. My journey helped me lose over 60 pounds and completely transformed my health and life.

Today, I'm still on this journey, and always looking to reach new heights. As I keep moving forward, I invite you to think about your own path. What choice will you make for your next chapter?
